Half day introductory blacksmithing class.
Service Description
A hands-on half day (4+/- hours) introductory blacksmithing class in the Iron Grove Tool Co. shop focusing on the basic elements of forging steel. We'll discuss shop safety, equipment usage and basic metal-movement principles before forging several decorative and functional pieces from available steel, demonstrating a variety of blacksmithing techniques. There is no time limit to the class, we go until we finish. All tools, materials and safety equipment will be provided. The student(s) will leave with their own sculptural pieces and tools made during the class. - Classes are scheduled 1:1, 2:1, or 3:1; After purchasing the class, contact the shop to add (?or change participant) - Readily available most Fridays 9am-1pm, or 12pm-4pm - Rare Saturday scheduling by special request. - Kids 10+ welcome
Cancellation Policy
Course fees are non-refundable and subject to the below No Show/ Cancellation policies. - It is essential that you notify us at least 2 weeks before class if you are scheduled but unable to attend. We have wait-lists for many classes. - Your class may be rescheduled without any additional costs, if you contact us at least 2 weeks prior to the original class date to reschedule. - Please be aware that there are fees associated with "no shows" and late cancellations. You must cancel at least 2 weeks prior to your class to avoid forfeiture of your registration fees. - If you are registered for a class and you do not call to cancel or reschedule, you will be considered a "No Show". This will result in a forfeiture of your registration fees. - In order to reschedule for another class date after the 2-week-prior time frame, you will need to re-pay your registration fees.
