Mokume Gane River Chef
The Mokume-Gane River Chef was made as an exploration of the Japanese non-ferrous metal-making technique of fire-welding layers of bronze, copper and nickel together in a manner similar to how damascus is made in steel. This chef knife is made from hand forged alternating layers of of those metals over a high carbon 52100 steel, and not only boasts superior sharpness and edge retention qualities, but an incredibly unique within its cladding that's truly all its own.
The hidden tang handle is crafted from stabilized green maple burl with a scrap mokume gane bolster. Stamped with our Blacksmith's personal signature as a seal of its individual crafting.
